Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 3, 2026

DryverMedia LLC ("DryverMedia," "we," "us") operates The Top 10 Experts at thetop10experts.com (the "Site"), a free service that helps people compare insurance, financial and home service providers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Comparison answers: the answers you choose in a comparison quiz (for example, coverage type, loan amount range or age range) and your ZIP code.
  • Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe to our email updates.
  • Messages and requests: if you use our contact, partner or privacy request forms, your name, email address, state, company name (for partners) and whatever you write in the message.

We do not ask for your phone number, date of birth, Social Security number or financial account details in forms on the Site. Providers you choose to visit may ask for those on their own websites, under their own privacy policies.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and visit data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the website or ad that referred you, and the date and time of your visit.
  • Advertising data: ad click identifiers (such as Meta, TikTok, Google and Microsoft click IDs), campaign tags (UTM parameters) and cookie identifiers set by advertising platforms.
  • Phone calls: if you call a phone number shown on our pages, the call is routed through a call-tracking service that records your phone number, the time and length of the call and the page you called from. The company you are connected with may also record the call.
  • General location: the state that matches the ZIP code you enter, or that appears in the ad link you followed.

2. How we use your information

  • To show providers that serve your area and fit your answers.
  • To send referral details to the provider you choose when you click through, so it can show relevant offers and credit us for the referral.
  • To connect calls you place to our phone numbers with the right insurance agent or service provider, and to measure and get paid for those calls.
  • To respond to your messages, partner inquiries and privacy requests.
  • To send our newsletter if you subscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to unsubscribe.
  • To prevent fraud, spam and abuse of the Site.
  • To measure and improve our advertising and the Site, including reporting visits, quiz completions and clicks to advertising platforms.
  • To comply with law, respond to legal requests, and enforce our Terms of Use.

3. Who we share your information with

  • Providers you click through to. When you select a provider, the link may include the category, your ZIP code, your quiz answers, the ad source that brought you to the Site and an ad click ID. Many providers pay us for these referrals, which may be considered a "sale" under some state laws. Providers use information they receive under their own privacy policies.
  • Companies you call. When you call a number on our pages, your call and phone number go to the licensed insurance agent, agency or service provider you are connected with, which may pay us for the call and uses your information under its own privacy policy.
  • Service providers. Companies that host the Site, deliver email, and provide analytics, under contracts that limit their use of the information. Company logos on comparison pages are loaded through Google's website icon service, which receives your IP address and browser details when the images load.
  • Advertising platforms. Meta, TikTok and Google receive data from their pixels and tags on the Site so we can measure which ads lead to visits and clicks. This can be considered "sharing" for targeted advertising under some state laws.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law or legal process, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, sale or transfer of our business.

4. Calls, texts and emails

We do not call or text you. If you call one of our numbers, the company you speak with may follow up with you if you ask it to, under its own terms. We email you only to reply to a message or request you send us, or to send the newsletter if you subscribed.

If you give your phone number or email to a provider on its own website, that provider's terms and privacy policy govern how it contacts you. To stop contact from a provider, reply STOP to its texts, ask its callers to put you on their do-not-call list, or use the unsubscribe link in its emails.

5. Cookies, pixels and similar technology

  • Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel and Google Tag Manager record page views, quiz starts and completions, and clicks to providers, so we can measure and improve our ads.
  • Browser storage remembers your ZIP code and state between pages, the ad parameters from the link you followed (for that visit only), and that you dismissed the cookie notice.

We do not load advertising pixels for browsers that send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Site may not work. See our Cookie Policy for more.

6. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Some state laws treat referral data sent to paying providers as a "sale," and ad pixels as "sharing" or "targeted advertising." You can opt out at any time:

  • Use our Do Not Sell or Share form, or email legal@thetop10experts.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share" and your name and email address.
  • Turn on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser. We treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing from that browser and do not load advertising pixels.

An opt-out applies going forward. Nevada residents may also use this process to opt out of the sale of covered information.

7. Your state privacy rights

Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, Virginia and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use and share it;
  • get a copy of your personal information;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete your personal information, subject to exceptions (for example, we keep records of privacy requests so we can honor them);
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of your information and of targeted advertising (see section 6); and
  • not be treated differently for using these rights.

To make a request, use our privacy request form or email legal@thetop10experts.com. We will verify your request by matching the information you provide with what we have, and respond within the time the law requires (usually 45 days). An authorized agent may make a request for you with your signed permission. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the word "Appeal."

We collect this information from you, your device, and advertising and analytics partners, for the purposes in section 2, and disclose it to the recipients in section 3. We do not knowingly sell or share information of people under 16.

8. How long we keep information

We keep newsletter emails until you unsubscribe, messages and partner inquiries for up to two years, privacy request records for at least 24 months as required by law, and analytics data for as long as the analytics or advertising platform retains it under its settings. Then we delete or de-identify it.

9. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limit who can access the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee the security of information sent over the internet.

10. Children

The Site is meant for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be posted on this page before they take effect.
