- Ongoing and intro APR. The ongoing APR applies once any intro period ends. If you carry a balance, it matters more than any reward.
- How rewards are earned. Flat-rate cards pay the same on everything. Category cards pay more in rotating or fixed categories and less elsewhere.
- Whether the fee pays for itself. Add up the credits and rewards you will realistically use. If they do not beat the fee, a no-fee card wins.
